Ukrainian holy names and birthdays

Every day in Ukraine they celebrate a number of important national and religious saints, and also mark the names of saints and people with similar names. The axle of them is:

Day of the Historic of Ukraine (14th anniversary): This is more important nationally sacred in Ukraine, as the protectors of the land, the military servicemen, who defended and protected the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Day of the Ukrainian Cossacks (14th anniversary): This is sacredly dedicated to the significant role of the Cossacks in the preservation of the rights and freedoms of Ukraine in history. On this day, various events are held, including choral performances, fairs and exhibitions.

Day of the Fatherlander of the Great Patriotic War (the last week is spring and the first week is autumn): This is sacred and religious and patriotic, it honors everyone who stood up for the faith and fought for the native land. On this day, religious services, patriotic events and festivals are held.

St. George's Day (26th Veresnya or 9th Zhovtnya according to the old style): This day is a named saint for a person named Yuri or George. Yuri is the most popular name in Ukraine, and the name of St. Yuri on this day is recognized by native saints and ancients.

St. Michael's Day (21st Veresnya or 6th Zhovtnya according to the old style): This day is a named saint for a person named Mikhailo or Mikola. Holy Saint Michael, or Michael's, is also known in Ukraine and is designated as holy day visits and saints' namesakes.

All these days are holy and name day, as holy days are celebrated in Ukraine in the evening. Every holy day has its own traditions and peculiarities of the holiday, but they all reflect the rich cultural decline and history of Ukraine.
