What are healthy fruits for children?

Fruits in baby food are good because they contain many necessary vitamins and almost do not require cooking. But even they must be used wisely. The most popular fruits in our strip are pears, apples, apricots and plums.

  • Apples are rich in organic acids, pectins and vitamins of groups B, A, C, K, PP. Pears are high in vitamin C, beta-carotenes, and folate.
  • Apricots contain beta-carotene, vitamin C, calcium and magnesium.
  • Plums are rich in organic acids, vitamins C, B1, B2, K, P, PP, E, carotene, fiber, and minerals.
  • Lemons and oranges contain vitamin C, essential oils and minerals.
  • Bananas contain a large amount of starch, protein, essential oils, malic acid, vitamins C, B2, PP, E, provitamins D and K.

Remember that in babies, fruits are not digested in the stomach, but in the small intestine, so it is better to eat them separately from the main food, otherwise they will begin to ferment. It is better to give fruits to children under 2 years old without skin and seeds, of course, there are useful substances in the skin too, but so far the child's stomach will still not be able to assimilate them.
